Practical help in the Kłodzko Valley region
In 2024, the Kłodzko Valley was affected by flooding, placing residents and emergency services under serious strain and presenting significant challenges. During this difficult time, support proved invaluable—both for medical institutions and local Volunteer Fire Service units.
Respect Energy actively participated in the relief efforts by providing essential equipment and supplies that improved the effectiveness of rescue operations and enhanced the safety of local residents in the region.
In September 2024, the flood required intensive involvement from the military, fire service, and emergency response units. A key logistical role was played by the kitchen of the 23rd Military Spa and Rehabilitation Hospital in Lądek-Zdrój, which was responsible for providing round-the-clock meals for soldiers and firefighters.
Respect Energy supported the hospital by financing the purchase of specialized kitchen equipment, including a vegetable slicer, a cooking kettle, and a drive unit for kitchen machinery. The modern equipment enabled faster and more efficient preparation of meals for large numbers of people, increasing operational effectiveness during the crisis. The equipment remained as permanent part of the hospital’s facilities, supporting its daily operations and strengthening its logistical capacity in emergency situations.
In 2025, Respect Energy continued its support, this time directing assistance to local Volunteer Fire Department units, which play a key role in protecting the lives of residents. The Radochów Volunteer Fire Department was equipped with modern firefighting and rescue equipment, including nozzles, fire hoses, a pump, a cabinet for protective clothing, and an aluminum storage box for equipment. Thanks to this, firefighters are able to respond more quickly and efficiently in emergency situations, while their operations are safer and more effective.
At the same time, the Nowy Waliszów Volunteer Fire Department received support in the form of medical equipment and personal protective gear, including an AED defibrillator, SCOTT breathing apparatus, composite cylinders, protective masks, and motion alarm devices. This equipment significantly enhances the safety of volunteers during rescue operations, enabling more effective provision of medical assistance and firefighting efforts in difficult conditions.
Respect Energy’s activities in the Kłodzko Valley between 2024 and 2025 were aimed not only at providing support in response to a natural disaster, but also at strengthening local medical and rescue infrastructure for the future. The total value of the assistance provided amounted to nearly PLN 100,000.
