Respect Energy’s Community Engagement: Supporting Young Athletes in Zwartowo
Respect Energy, one of the largest independent electricity providers in Poland and co-owner of the largest photovoltaic farm in Central and Eastern Europe, has teamed up with the Motor Zwartowo Sports Club to improve training facilities for the youngest athletes.
One of the pillars of Respect Energy Group’s Sustainability Strategy is building strong relationships with local communities and supporting educational and social initiatives.
"This collaboration is more than just support for us – it’s a way to energize the local community with positive energy. Respect People is a key value of our mission and strategy. That’s why we want every child to have the opportunity to be active, play, and grow in a place that empowers them not only in sports but in life. We want the Zwartowo photovoltaic farm to be not only an investment in Poland’s energy future but also a source of real support for the local community."
- emphasizes Maciej Wanat, Head of Renewable Energy Projects at Respect Energy.

Tomasz Dołotko, coach of the Motor Zwartowo team adds:
"Sports activities for children and teenagers at Motor Zwartowo help develop coordination, speed, and decision-making skills. They teach respect, teamwork, and discipline. Through shared training sessions and being part of a team, we support the emotional and social development of participants. We believe that sports give young people the chance to build self-confidence, form relationships, and develop values that will stay with them throughout their lives. The support provided by Respect Energy, including two sets of soccer goals and new tracksuits for all the children, will be a great help to us."

Engagement in local community initiatives is an integral part of Respect Energy’s strategy. The company, which provides its customers with 100% renewable energy, focuses on developing projects that support energy security, climate and social education, and community engagement in the regions where it operates.
"We are convinced that responsible business must go hand in hand with care for people and the places in its surrounding. For children growing up in smaller towns, sports can be not only a passion but also an opportunity for personal development, a sense of community, and belief in their own potential."
– comments Daria Mejnartowicz, Charity Manager at Respect Energy
Through initiatives like these, Respect Energy strengthens its role as a leader in the energy transition, combining the development of renewable energy with valuable support for local communities and younger generations.
